I've been trying to find the difference as well. Coming from Subarus I was really confused too but here is a pic of EVO X transfer case.

Tranny fill bolt (17mm) is underneath the factory airbox facing the front of the car, then the drain is below that facing the driver's side front wheel (flat 24mm bolt).

The transfer case fill bolt faces the passenger side front tire and is near where your downpipe routes, and the drain is below that facing downward.

Well, I changed the transmission fluid. I guess I just still need to change the t-case still.

Ok, gotcha. I did the 17mm/24mm already, the tranny. Ya, haven't done the t-case yet. What fluid for the t-case?

Redline Cocktail. But I have plenty of Diaqueen thanks to the stealership for the t-case.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO for the millionth time. ACD/AYC are not considered maintenance fluids and don't need to be touched. The maintenance fluids are drain/fill.

Post number 6 has a link to really good pictures. Its for an SST but the all the locations are the same for the bolts. The transmission bolts are just more toward the drivers side on a non SST>

Since there seems to be confusion i will state every drivetrain fluid that needs to be changed.

Rear Diff - There are two fluids in the rear diff , one is the gear oil ( Diaqueens MT 90 LSD gear oil) and the other is the ATF SP3 fluid. Now the ACD also uses a ATF SP3 but thats different , that is pressurized whereas the ATF SP3 in the rear diff just sits in a bath of fluid like the gear oil. The two SP3 fluids dont mix and are separate. The rear diff has a total of 4 bolts for fluid. Two bolts for the drain and two bolts for the fill. The back of the rear diff drain and fill bolts are for the ATF SP3. The front of the rear diff is for the gear oil ( Diaqueen MT90 LSD gear oil). The drain bolts are a 10mm allen key bolt and fill bolts are 17mm 6 point hex bolts.

Transfer Case = The transfer case plugs are right near the engine oil plug. This uses Diaqueen LSD gear oil. The drain plug is a 24 mm 6 point hex bolt and fill plug is a 17mm 6 point hex bolt.

Transmission - The transmission is toward the drivers side. I personally use neo hd manual tranny fluid and have found this tranny fluid to be awesome. Shifts are way smoother and it feel like the gears just slide right in. The Drain plug is a 24mm 6 point hex bolt . The fill bolt is a 17mm 6 point hex bolt.

Ok, so I'm picking up Diaqueen 90W LSD from the dealer and taking that to a local tranny shop to have the rear diff fluid changed. I have read through countless threads about this, but I am confused as to why the rear diff takes Diaqueen AND ATF SP III? If it's a GSR, why would I also need to put ATF in the rear diff? Sorry for the noob question, but I don't have time to do it myself and I'd rather not put automatic transmission fluid in and be wrong haha.
