benefits of porting an fp green

i am going to be purchasing an fp green soon and i was just wondering what the benefits of getting it ported are? would i benefit from faster spool or more top end power. i did some searching but did not find a clear answer. thanks in advance

I'd say both. I've seen porting on various setups help with both power and spool/response. IMO, it's worth the extra $100 when you're already spending so much anyway. I also recommend getting the turbine housing coated to help keep engine bay temps down.

That'd be bad-*** dude ever think about just running an Evo turbo? It'd be close to the same performance but cheaper. Just a thought

i have an evo turbo right now and i put down 315 awhp but i dont like the fact that my boost falls off to 17psi at redline. its hard for us ralliart to make as much power as evos because i have to watch out how much torque i make, which in turns makes me make less hp. but with the new turbo i can make higher tq near the top end which will give me more hp.

it is basically the same thing, the major differences are the mr has a higher 5th and 6th gear ratio than the ralliart, and they are able to handle 350+ ft lb of torque opposed to the ralliart which around 300 is safe. and the only reason the mr can handle more tq is their trans is tuned differently, and they have yet to figure out how to re program the tc-sst

Why would you have to keep the TQ down? Isn't the Ralliart motor the same as an Evo? Are the internals different?

not quite the same motor. and the torque issue is with the transmission.

Ive been curious about this too. What is different in the engine bceause a friend has a ralliart and I want him to get an evo turbo but was wondering where the weak spots will be and where they will pop up. So #1 Tranny got that but what about the engine differences?

The turbo Ralliart has identical block and heads to the Evo X, but different camshafts.
