Downpipe question /// suggestions

ok so I've "heard" that replacing the o2 housing on the x really isn't necessary with the stock turbo application. I was just thinkin maybe a short dp and testpipe with the catback. I don't see a need to buy say an AMS widemouth unless it's really necessary because although I hear the flow is obviously better I'm not gonna be going for high power. Not interested in the o2 dump either. Just wondering if say a UR short DP, testpipe, catback would do well for my tuning needs with other basic bolt ons.

thanks.

Yes, that sounds like a very basic but effective setup. There are gains to be had by going with a o2 elim downpipe, but for some the effort may not be worth the reward.

You can stick with the stock dp if you aren't going for huge gains. Test pipe and cat back will most likely be all you need. I run stock dp and make good power.

We've got many customers with a setup like this. Very simple turboback exhaust that does the job. I usually recommend the Long O2 Downpipe for those that are looking to push the envelope of the stock turbo, or are planning to upgrade to a larger bolt-on turbo.
