Little to no boost....stock x :/

Well here's a weird issue to me at least. Stock x gsr w/1805 miles. I recently took my x out of hibernation, and I love it. The only thing is I noticed under full throttle it just doesn't feel as fast as last year. It didn't even give me that pin me to my seat feeling :/

To make things stranger, at 6,300 rpm to redline it seemed like my turbo was going to fall out. I never heard flutter but under full throttle at 6,300 rpm and up in any gear I clearly heard a choppy air sound from
the center dash area of the car which I know is where the turbo is located. While trying to figure it out, it threw a CEL and then felt like my ole subie in safe mode where I had NO boost at all, and she idled at 2,500 rpm. After shutting her off and restarting, it idled normal but I still had the CEL and was too tired to see if it had any boost again

I believe it's a vacum line. I gave as much detail as I could and I hope one of you had a similar problem and could tell me what the quick fix is. I really don't want to drop it off at the dealer. I just don't like others touching my car

I would assume a big boost leak somewhere. The ECU probably went into limp mode because the A/F was off the charts rich with a boost leak.

Do you have a boost gauge? Also get a OBD II scanner and check the codes.

Made sure she was almost out of gas before storage and just filled her up with a fresh tank of 93 octane

unplug battery. blug it back in. Check your vac lines and from intake manifold and clamps on your IC piping. What was the temp outside when you went WOT?

Well I give up. Last thing I'll try before turning her in is posting a vid. But spent 20 mins inspecting vac lines and resetting the batt just got rid of the cel which is what I expected

What about that small black hose on the front of the engine, can't remember what it's for. Mine popped off and acted similar.

Small black hose? I remember once reading a post on here of a vacum line that didn't have a clamp on it. I tried searching but couldn't find it. I'll keep an eye out for that one. I believe it was by the oil fil cap or by the dipstick

Yes, when facing the engine, there is a small nipple on the front left side which should have a hose on it. If there is no hose on it, that's your problem. You may not even see the hose at first because if it popped off, it may be tucked underneath the engine cover.

So it's right on the front of the engine, towards the left side. There is also a big post about it on the forum someplace with pics.

Is the engine bay totally stock? If you've upgraded your licp/uicp or fmic then I'd start by looking at all of the couplers to see if one blew off. It's usually a loud noise when they do...and you can usually hear a loud turbo whine that varies with rpm when it occurs.

The other thing that can cause a total loss of boost is your WGA. If the cotter pin comes out of your wastegate control arm then there's no way to hold boost. Check the back of your turbo to see if that rod is connected.

It should go without saying that driving in the high rpms is a very bad idea until you figure this out.
