wow that does look pretty bad... I'd be asking for either a steep discount or a full refund if you have to ship it back. Maybe re-doing the clear coat would fix some of the blemishes but man...looks pretty bad.

Thanks for the warning. I for one will never buy a PW:JDM product from now on.

Sorry you had to learn the hard way about them. I did a few years ago too. I ordered a carbon hatch for my EG6 and got a bad slightly faded hatch with a $0.25c size chip. That was also before i found out they just make a cheaper version of JDM parts. JDM replicas. They have are crazy charging people "JDM" price for USDM replicas that are on a way lower level of quality.
O well. Best of luck!

I had problems from the S2K side too. Just a rear lower brace with holes that didn't line up. I got a cheap temporary ebay one for $20 shipped that worked flawlessly. After complaining for like a year and a half on S2ki they let me send it back ( I paid shipping) and pay the difference for a carbon kevlar cooling plate. The quality of that looked great, but I went to install it, and it needs to be trimmed to fit with my Mugen intake (was precut, and I was told it would fit), so I can't comment on the fit right now.

Their pictures look great, so I was hoping they would have good stuff for the X.

Sorry you got the reject parts bro. I've purchased a ton of parts from them for my Honda's and never had anything but good things to say about them.

please...if the picture came out like crap, you think they would ever let you know about it?

technically they're accurate about their products...see, if you look up "dry carbon" in web sites that has been in the business for decades, they will tell you "dry" means areas where the mold is weak and brittle...it's exactly what you paid for

joking aside, their dry carbon isn't what you imagined it to be - it's not the pre-preg stuff, despite the hefty price tag. it's just another vacuum mold job...and they spread the resin thin to fool you into thinking that's "dry," and it's a convincing job since it doesn't have the same weight as the laid stuff.

while the aesthetic stuff is terrible, it is functional...if you paint it over, then it's still good...but that kind of defeats the point of the hefty price tag. the intake box i purchased wasn't bad...but the panel i had to replace, since the one i received had its resin spread so thin, it already cracked before i put it on. my silver lining is that i'm actually within driving distance, so i marched there and demanded an exchange, which i got...i also had a chance to hand pick mine over a few selections. i can tell you from what i've seen, most of their parts are like that - pits, thin layers, etc.

it's only worth the money if you can pick the best looking part, or if you had decided to paint over in the first place. i would also throw in luck of the draw, but the chances are thinner than the resin they laid.

<shameless_plug>
i'm selling the one i painted here https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sa...ntake-box.html

PWJDM is hit and miss. My ITR powerchamber intake aka (whale *****) fit fine. My Honda S2000 did not fit at all and it got shipped to me 3 times. i recieved all two times before the last smashed up. I had to argue with them bc it was broke and they didnt want to replace it. Never again with PWJDM they are FTL. Customer service has went to ish the last couple of years. I have personally told them this over the phone.

when i seen their intake setup i wasnt impressed at all i knew it would have problems and fitment issues. If i was going to spend that money I would just get the ARC box for my X....

It may not fit, like the simple rear brace I purchased for my S2k.

yeah back when I was in the honda community, i ordered JDM headlights for my civic and it took 6 months for me to get it, citing awaiting clearance from customs when via there website it was suppose to be in stock.
I was debating on getting the airbox for my X but after reading this thread, it seems they are still a poor vendor and HOPE to GOD they go out of Business

HOLY MOLY! that is just wrong! PasswordJDM should not be selling a product so poorly built like that. Return that ASAP my friend, it's not worth it.
