Hi there im new to this forum and have a question about the FP 3794R turbo. Im currently in two minds about either a GT4094R or a 3794R.
I dont own an evo but a Holden VX supercharged, same engine as the Pontiac 3800GTP in the states. Although mine has been stroked to a 4.2. Ive tried looking up info on the 3794 on a setup similar to what i want to do but mainly get alot of info on guys runing the 3794 on evos and BMW's.

So back to my original question, both the GT4094 and 3794 will make the power i wont although im not sure as too which will have better response from the two. Am i right in saying that the FP HTA 3794 will spool earlier then a GT4094 ?

Any feedback is much appreciated.

 

what does this have to do with Evo X Engine / Turbo / Drivetrain?

 

sorry, possibly didnt make myself clear in my post. im guessing its turbo related hence why i posted it here. i did outline that i dont own an Evo.
If i have posted my turbo query in the wrong section let me know.

And once again i do apologise if im intruding and not owning an Evo, but am looking for the information i need in regards to the FP HTA 3794R turbo as some on here have experience with it.

The HTA will outspool the 4094 by a good margin, and make basically the same power. It is a far superior turbo, no evos really run 40rs anymore because of how much we can get out of the HTA 35r turbos.

But really, on a 6 cyl, isn't that a little bit large of a turbo? What power level are you shooting for? Aside from dyno queen supras, I've never really seen 6's with larger than a 3582, and even those are crazy high power.

 

thanks chkmgnt, im aiming in around the 650-700 rwhp mark. the 3794 looked apealing because as you mentioned it will make similar power to that of a 4094 and with less lagg. how much lag it will have i have no idea.

i would pick 3794 spools faster and makes similar power.
