Is a new fuel pump needed?

I currently have 3" TBE, UICP, Intake. Obviously I want to get the most out of it when I get it tuned but I noticed allot of people with the X don't put a fuel pump in with just those mods like most do with the 8s,9s.

Any help would be great.

I have same mods plus a couple and I havent upgraded fuel pump and made power relatively easy. But if you plan on modding past bolt-ons it may be a good idea.

On pump gas with a stock turbo, you don't need it. The X pump flows more than the 8/9.

Stock turbo/pump gas here...I didn't need a fuel pump for the common bolt-ons, but with ported manifolds & TB I did.

Does the fuel pump lower IDC's? Ive heard it does slightly, and then ive heard it doesnt have anything to do with it. My injectors are pretty much maxed out (99%) and since a fuel pump is ganna be required later, i dont mind doing it now and possibly lower my IDC by little.. what do you guys think

If you're running at the stock pump's maximum then yes, it will lower your IDC's since your injectors will be able to get the fuel they want. If you're already at 99% IDC it's not a bad idea at all to replace the pump before your tune.

Correct me if im wrong but isnt 99% IDC really only like 80-90% of max flow. I think I read somewhere that 120% IDC was truly MAXing out injectors.
