Guess its different on the x's then. I'll stick to the 8 and 9 forums where I belong from now on. Good luck with your dilemma..

I didn't even realize I was in a Evo X thread lol! I am just freaking out about these lights. I am pretty sure it's the same pump though. Can you actually here it run or is it quiet as a mouse??

You need either the Mitsubishi service tool or a high end scanner. My Snapon Solis ultra does it. Improper filling and not bleeding the system properly can kill the transfer case.

You can buy the the repair kit from ACD-tuning for about $250 and it has the box that you connect to a battery and you can use it to bleed the pump. I think for everything including the parts to fix the ACD pump come to about $450.

Select the vehicle and go into the ACD from the options menu and follow the on screen prompts. What it has you do is turn the steering wheel slowly in one direction then back. This cycles the pump at which point you crack the bleeder. The same procedure works to cycle the pump when bleeding the active rear diff.

How are you attempting to do this? You need a scan tool that has the capability to cycle the pump.

With my Solis Ultra, you need to select the ACD bleed cycle. Then turn the steering wheel slowly in one direction. When you do this the pump should cycle. Once it cycles crack the bleeder. Do this several times. Make sure you check the fluid in the reservoir. Don't overfill it because it tends to back up after bleeding. I like to keep it near the minimum then top it off when I am done.
