i dont think works or twm will make too huge of a difference between the two. i got the whole combo off twm, made my shifting really solid, quite stiff at the same
time. stiffness did get better after a few weeks of DD but still really stiff compared to everyone else, but its something ive grown a liking to.

but now that twm made the whole cage...i think it might make it the better choice. i dont know myself since no1 has tried it yet but we all seem to have high expectations from it =D

They actually are hugely different, especially when you drive them back-to-back.

I'm not an evo owner, yet... looking for an evo x in the future and joined this site to brush up and plan my mods ahead of time.

That being said I have a 08 Si and I got TWM's full shifter replacement. If their shifter replacement for the Evo is anything like the Si, you won't be disappointed. Made me fall in love with my Si all over again.

just my 2cents

Thanks for the feedback! It'll be as good as our Civic Full Replacement short shifter!

My works shifter just got here in the mail today. I'm going to install it and let you know how it feels with out any of the works bushings installed with it. I ordered the bushings and shifter separate. Then I will update on how much of a difference every thing works together. I know it will be a little extra work to install at different times but it will be nice to see how much of difference every piece will make.

I just ordered the MODE short shifter for my Evo X. I haven't heard much about MODE short shifters here so I hope it works great

Just got done taking the evo out to test the Works short throw. Great height. Way better than stock, and the position of the shifter is nice to. The throw is nice would be better if it was less though. Over all damn good short throw. As for the shift knob from Works it looks clean and feels smooth, but I would rather have a shift knob with more weight and be little larger. Over happy with the new mod. Also going into reverse is way easier now.

Works short shifter going in soon. Just got it with the bushings and also ordered the gate selector bushing from torque solutions as the works package did not offer it. Thank you Kracka for the most awesome guidance. Gotta love evom!
