Legamax over Hi-Power ??

Guys here is my situation...My friend has a brand new HKS axle-back exhaust for the X ready stock in Dhaka, Bangladesh...He is asking for 1000 usd but I mite get the price down to 900... However, I also have the option of buying the HKS Hi-Power from Singapore which I always preferred but that will fetch me about 1500 usd...

Now there are 2 very important factors that comes into play and I would like it if you all could clear my confusion.

1. I have the Legamax exhaust ready stock which I can buy and start using from tomorrow...However if I go for the Hi-Power, I will have to wait for at least 2 months & import it from Singapore...A friend might be willing to bring it for me but there will be a wait of minimum 2 months & will cost substantially more.

2. The second factor that comes into play is the amount of cash I have right now..If I have a axle-back exhaust for now I don't need to get a tune...I'm running on a very tight budget so for now I can just keep it as it is...Once I get enough cash then I can buy the HKS center pipe & also the other parts I need to get a tune...But if I buy the Hi-Power which is a cbe then from what I'm hearing I have to get a tune or else the car might not perform up to the mark or might even get detuned.

Now there is only 1 guy who can tune a Evo in Bangladesh & he told me to buy a tactrix cable, zeitronix afr & gauge and a defi boost gauge...All these will fetch another 1000 usd plus he charges 600 usd for the tune & honestly I don't really have that much cash to burn now.

Now my question to you all is should I go for the Legamax and start using it & once I arrange enough cash then get a center pipe plus a tune...or should I wait & get the Hks Hi-Power cbe & drive it without a tune for a while...Or should I not buy a exhaust if I cant get a tune at the first place ??

Thanks.

youll be fine driving without a tune for a bit, as long as you dont push the crap of the engine. both exhausts are nice so i can choose one or the other. but with a test pipe they will do their job

thanx...im still deciding and probably might go with the hi-power as the legamax might just be a lil too quite for me...im not looking for anything obnoxiously loud but something a lil louder than a legamax when I press it a little...Any suggestions other than the hi-power ?

Do you want dual or single? I ran a perrin turbo back with test pipe loved it. Sold it and now have a single greddy ti-c awesome exhaust too deep and mean sound. Both pretty loud specially when my 02dump kicks in at 4k rpm

Sounds like either one is gonna be pricey? Do you have any local shops that can make a custom cat back for you?

I have the HKS Hi Power exhaust. It’s an excellent exhaust and well worth the two month wait. The Hi Power has a nice deep sound to it. It’s not too loud either, but definitely a lot louder than stock. My car sets off car alarms on occasion, especially if I'm in a parking garage.

Thanks guys...I was looking for a dual tip and sounds like Hks Hi-Power is the way to go for me...I also have a Kakimoto racing exhaust here...Apparently its a very good Japanese brand & is very good in hp gains but it's kinda loud so im not too convinced yet...Any idea about Kakimoto & is it as good as they are saying it is ?
