I need to get any brand air intake box for a 5 inch short ram cone. The MAF sensor is going HAM and I was wondering if anyone had or new where to buy just the box for the intake separately??

if your going with a cone filter, the reason your car is going nuts is a few things... 1st, you need a sheild for your intake, since there is none, when the cooling fans kick on it is causing turbulance, AMS i know for sure makes one.... $45 i think. 2. you need a tune, since you probably increased the diameter of the tube for the intake, you ecu needs to be reprogramed for it inorder for it to run effeciently. hope it helps. If your dead set on a "box" ARC.... very pricey and K&N and there is another one that makes them... i wanna say AEM. but dont hold me to the last one.

 

Yeah the previous owner had the short ram cone installed...if it were up to me i would have done cold air. But I'm not about to convert for 3 hundred dollars. I went onto AMS and they don't sell it separately, its only with the kit. And then I've got a cobb stage 2 AMS tune. So I'm set with that. Its just when the ac comes on (like you said) and when it is off, its still a bit shaky and all that. Ive got a shield, however its pretty half-assed. At this point a box just seemed easier to install and more effective.
