Could I do better?

So I am currently in Afghanistan (almost done!) and have been looking at different parts to purchase for my 2011 GSR before I leave so they'll be waiting on me when I get back. Currently I've only added the Injen SRI and UICP. I definetly want to go with a TBE with HFC, and just knock it all out at once. I know it looks like brand loyalty, but I like the fact that ETS has nothing but good reviews, is a US Company, and also throws in the military discount. I plan on getting the COBB AP until I can find a good shop around Camp Lejeune to do a custom tune. I do plan on upgrading my turbo in the future, which is why I'm going ahead with the FMIC upgrade. Now my questions are if all of these parts are worth the price and should I find a shop to do the tune first and just skip the whole COBB AP route? Is the recirc DP listed better than the dump DP, and if so in what ways? Are there any purchases I should make before these? Any suggestions you have would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Why injen? If you are going with ETS just get their intake and ic pipes.

And the dp is preference. The recirc. won't be as loud. ETS parts are growing on me personally but for a dp, I picked the AMS widemouth. It has the largest opening and a nice low tone.

Also I think you should just get a custom tune. The AP is a nice unit but it would take a tuner to maximize your tune. You may as well skip it, especially if you are going to custom tune it if/when you upgrade the turbo.

And get the 4 inch ic...because that's my next purchase!

before buying the Cobb AP I'd find a good Evo tuner in your area and then get whatever he prefers, the Cobb AP or open source. advantage of the open source is that its free! (and is the Cobb AP even out yet for the 2011?)

I was in your exact same position last year in Afghan and stationed at Lejeune. What I ended up going with was ETS intake, ETS TBE, ETS 3.5" IC kit w/hard pipes, and a grimmspeed 3 port. I highly recommend you talk to the guys at Force Fed Performance in Fayetteville(its just a couple hour drive down NC-24 and its totally worth it), they can set you up right and Babi is an awesome awesome tuner. Stay safe brother

I bought the Injen SRI/UICP not long after buying my car. I've also heard alot about Force Fed on the local forum so I'll probably swing in there when I get back. From what I've read the Cobb is available for 2011 now. So there's no real difference power wise in the two DPs?
