Don't know if the original poster ever bought his clutch, but I'm on the Clutch Master FX300 paired with a Competition Clutch Lightweight flywheel and love it. Very streetable, feels just slightly stiffer than stock.
For comparison, I helped install a Competition Clutch stage 2 clutch with a ACT flywheel on my friends car yesterday and its stiffer than my set up. Still very street-able though. Not harsh at all.

Not trying to bash ams btw, but the ring only holds for a little ive seen a couple cars still break down with the ring thats why they ended up going with either the magnus or ams clutch master conversion.
I have a....
ACT HD 6 puck sprung
Streetlite flywheel
AMS CMC
first week or so it was brutal to drive on the streets. After about 500km and doing a few WOT pulls after those 500km, the clutch got alot better. Still alot more aggressive then stock but nothing that i cant handle.

I won't bash Ams but if you look at both conversion kits, only thing I can see I their braided line provided the grommets to replace where Oem was secured to body. To me not worth extra $100. I have Magnus kit with iv cmc ( come with them now ) but I used standard rubber grommets for sheet metal to minimize vibration rubbing. Works fine and cost $5
Well i got some friends using the ring and it still hold up after plenty of launch.
As for my part, got took off guard in a period of my life where money is rare. So if the ring can hold upa while that would do it.

ok well i was jsut letting you know that it isnt guarenteed but i wish you the best of luck and i hope if does what you want it too
I highly recommend Exedy clutches over all others for perfomance applications. If you want to make big power, I would go with the multi plate. If you're looking to make around 500 whp, an Exedy twin plate should be fine.
I have a Bully Clutch , Stage II kit, installed last summer. It has many track days on it, as well as winter and daily driving. It is handling 380whp and 360wt without an issue.
The best thing is that it is not expensive and feels as good as stock , as far as clutch pedal effort.
I highly recommend it over the ACT, as I tried several car withthat installed- way too harsh for daily driving.
Perry Performance in Montreal stocks the Bully clutches.

i have a cc segmented ceramic clutch with their ultra light flywheel. this clutch is amazing, recomend to everyone with 450-500 wheel hp (no launches!). its smooth, quite, holds the power, the flywheel is a perfect combo, revs nice and easy, no lock outs and it feels just like stock clutch. the flywheel is not too light at all. talk to map or tach performance if ur in nyc. i have had twins and pucks on all my previous cars. this is a dream.
