Gsrdriver08 2.5L motor build
Who do you think you are ILuvJDM? This guy is building a monster EvoX 2.5L with a bunch of CF parts.
People build cars for what they like and their personal tastes. Whether you like or not, I'm pretty sure he doesn't care. Thanks for your opinion about the paint...we heard all 50x. You can kindly stop repeating yourself and hijacking this thread.
Thanks for the info on the valves. I'll stick with OEM since its a ported FP Green setup.

yeah just hope going bigger in bore dont make the green run out quicker on your top end
and there is always a hater in the group. i honestly love them gives me something to laugh at everyday on here. I just wonder how much time they spend looking up stupid photos instead of looking up information on how much weight paint adds to a car.
if you dont believe me why do you think the zonda is unpainted? what bec they think everyone loves cf or for the fact it adds weight to the car.

either go all CF or all paint. Having doors that are "black" with red handles and red a-pillars looks goofy. You can't tell it's CF from a distance, it just looks unpainted like you went to a junkyard and pieced together some parts from a black Evo after yours got hit at the grocery store
As for CF mixed with paint. To each his own, as these decisions are truly personal. Now, I'm biased a bit, (fenders are CF) but that's besides the point. If you feel there's more to discuss on this point, well, as a good friend and competitor of mine says, "take it to the track".
Let me know.
Black cars can get away with CF doors and other parts. The car looks one solid color from a far, but then you notice the CF up close and your friends be like "oh snap that's CF, cool." With red, or any other color that isn't close to CF, your car looks like it got doors from a junkyard and hasn't had time to paint them yet... this is another OPINION of mine.
this was the first comment I made because his car was in the paint shop getting an entire new paint job... didn't understand the point of not painting the rest of the car. This, IN MY OPINION, is ugly and pointless. You might save 15-20lbs in weight. Ok that's great, but I'd rather have a car painted entirely a nice color (like this car is painted) but knowing there is CF under there (which saves weight) and then save that 15-20lbs somewhere else.
it's an opinion, and it's okay to post opinions on forums - or did I miss that memo?

No one is denying you an opinion. And you'll have to be the judge as to when to express it. Generally, your best bet is to share your opinions as they relate directly to a particular thread topic. If you have random opinions, start your own thread topic.
Random negative comments about something as subjective as a car's look are not particularly helpful and short sighted. Why, becasue the very person to whom you are directing some unnecessary subjective nonsense about how there car looks is the very guy you'll need help from or want to sell a part to down the road. It just seems to be the way it works.
Thanks for the nice comments regarding the EFI car's mixture of 3 colors and CF.

Yeah I was trying to prove a point that unpainted CF can look great on cars. You're kinda destroying the original concept of CF by painting it... ILuvJDM you might think you are arguing for the "non-rice" side but you are essentially putting looks before performance. I'd rather spend big bucks on the carbon fiber doors and actually get the weight reduction out of them by not painting them. Who cares if other people think your car looks like it came out of a junkyard? Are you modding YOUR car for them? You belong with the hellaflush crew brah.
Let's take a poll of how many people would prefer to have carbon fiber doors unpainted or their stock doors.

my point i didnt spend $4500+ on cf doors to paint them and try and save the 15-30lbs somewhere else
it would be like spending 1500$ on a cf roof from ams to save 1lbs then paint it and gain 3lbs-10lbs so you just paid 1500$ to make your car heavier

Thanks and yes, Nothing goes on the car or trailer that is not expressly contracted through sponsorship.
car looks stupid. wouldnt be caught dead driving that around in public no matter how beastly it is under the hood. people seriously complaining about the weight of paint... PAINT... i think ive heard it all now...
