I'm curious about this myself, on my 8 I picked up 30+ peak whp and more than that on the curve. I did GSC S1 cams then and that's what I'm thinking about again on the X.

Curious if anyone is running S1's on the stock turbo, and what the results are.

no i have kelford Bs my self but but a buddy of mine runs the cosworths putting out pretty impressive numbers. i was looking to swap mine for the cosworths because they are a bit milder and would be better than kelfords for a stock turbo set up. But yet looking through some of the members here with cosworths along with my buddy they do great with big turbos as well so if you ever decide to upgrade the turbo the cams are still more than capable. i have no personal experience with them but they seem to be doing great across the board.

On the stock turbo the stock cams are fine.. The benefit of aftermarket cams aren't that great like on the VIII and IX's..

The cams really shine with bigger turbos on the X..

Stock head, i don't think the kelfords would be a bad choice since they are a staggered setup and match the exhaust port sizing well.

I have Kelford B's on mine with AMS and Cobb gear and an FP Green.

Cobb has used other cams besides Kelfords and they don't make as much power on the green or red.

I suggest GSC S2s. All the cams noted are good and though I am partial to GSC, it wasn't really the cam design that brought me too them. Having access to Greg, owner and designer, makes a real difference when you are sorting out your build and I really appreciated his willingness to work with us over time. That customer service makes a big difference.

I know this is an old thread but I was wondering what you all thought about cams on a stock turbo car. I want to max the stock turbo and I was thinking my next set of mods would be injectors, pump, rail, and cams.

I was thinking some form of stg1 cam, what's the benefit and downside to upgraded cam shafts with a bolt ons stock turbo.
