Decided to share my build, figured there might be a few interested....

I will be building this motor myself on my spare time so this might take some time. I will be updating this thread as I make progress and sharing photos. Currently waiting for pistons to be built and shipped from Wiseco. Block is at the local machine shop getting machined to receive Darton sleeves along with main tune up do to ARP main stud install. Car is currently running on the stock motor with no issues, not another blown motor case. I figured I would build it now before I blow it. Car is currently equipped with parts listed below. Personally tuned the car on e85 and runs very strong.

Goal is to have a well rounded street car. 600whp+ would be nice
Going to be focusing more on the motor components of the build and the results. I will be a little vague on other aspects of the build unless I'm asked otherwise.

Its moving along, I just have a few projects I am into at the moment. Wish I had more time to totally focus on this one.

Still deciding on how much fuel I want and if I want to build out some of the components myself.
Up in the air on the Turbo as well...

With a 10.5 compression and turbo you would have to run your boost down to no more then 12psi if you ever decide to go back to 93 pump gas. I think you would be limiting yourself with this being a local weekend car. Then again it dose sound like it is already not your daily. GL with the build.

Main scope of build is to Custom taylor a motor specifically for e85. E85 station is a few miles from my home...

Weekend car? Heh have about 3500 miles on her now since 2011.

Where I live we are limited to 91 octane gas, if I switched back to gas it wouldn't be ideal that's for sure. Not sure what power levels I would be limited to on gas until I tried it.

2.4 liters and 10.50CR, should be a blast...

While I patiently wait for my pistons to arrive... Assembling this bad boy...

Subscribed. Nice project. MIVEC can be used to somewhat lower the dynamic compression ratio should you go back to gas. I wouldn't worry about 10.5:1.... I've seen other E85 builds running 11.5 clear up to 12.0:1 which I personally think is rather high.

10.5 though should be low enough to go back to pump with the right MIVEC settings to minimize compression in transient conditions.
