CXRacing intercooler kit

Hey guys, for the past few weeks ive been shopping and comparing intercooler piping kits. I decided to go out on a limb and take a chance with the CX racing intercooler piping kit + BOV/Recirculating valve. I know because its been a featured e-bay product but to my surprise i am happy as fat kid in a candy store i decided to go with this kit. It was cheap $229 shipped complete kit w bov. The kit installation was easy no fitment issues whatsoever took a short while to install a novice can tackle this install with ease such as myself. the only thing i have to say is the bov included in the kit for some odd reason has 2 springs as apposed to one (not mentioned at all by CX) which is really odd becuase it only blows off at 20 pounds of boost or more so if you decide to go with the kit do what i did and take it apart and take one of the springs out and you'll be fine. I took one of the springs out put it back together and it held 23 pounds of boost no problem and recirculates at any psi without flutter or any issue. i have pics of the but they're pretty much identical to the ones on cx's site. Honestly i wanted to put this issue to rest because i find a lot of people on the forum hate on this kit mainly because it is an ebay known kit and not many people go with it.

I was looking to get this kit because the only thing im missing is an intercooler. im on 26psi with a cbrd bbk turbo upgrade. im making 340whp 300tq. do you think this kit would help me out or even work for my car most people say ebay no way but ive never had problems with there stuff. Also will the BOV hold 26-30 psi?

I have the intercooler piping too and it works fine. Once the bov is adjusted and dialed in properly, it works with no problems. I can't say if it will hold 26-30psi since I'm on stock turbo and boost. However I did swap the bov it came with and installed the factory one because the "whistle" sound it made was getting annoying after a while.

Hell yea it will work . Stock turbo I hit 300whp 350wtq, and tracked it many times on a circuit. I love it, better than stock 1000%. On my EFR 6758, I hit 415whp 435wtq, so I'm sure you'll be fine lol.

yeah i cant guarantee that it will hold 26-30lbs either i too am running stock turbo but I heard that the bov it comes with is basically a greddy bov with the internals being authentic greddy parts, but id like to think the whole thing may be some sort of greddy replica. Any which way it holds boost for me and i admit ( I do like the little whistle it makes) some people may not but i do. and as for the piping its great but i would just go with the piping not the intercooler/piping combo from what ive found that ic not so good but the piping is A+. Keep me posted let me know how everything works out.

the reason everyone is saying that is because the cx intercooler that comes with that kit the dimensions are very similar to that of the stock intercooler so you wont seem many gains over stock. me personally i am going with the depo 4" core intercooler. $400 and its gotten a lot of positive feedback. and ive delt with tim from depo before hes very professional and his products are quality so id look into that one too if youre in the market for a new intercooler.

because the good stuffs running around a 1000 for the kit and plus 750 for the new tune I need not including little things they have to do. That's around 2000 id be spending in a day. That's a little pricey. But for the depo is 3.5 good?

I look at this way-

40,000 car and $400 intercooler? If you cant afford the upgrade that is worthwhile, ETS 3.5" for instance, then save until you can. Buying based on the lowest common denominator, price, is a horrible strategy. Giving the car everything you can to keep it healthy is the best option.
