Intercooler Couplers
Will anyone give me a tip to which coupler size I need for the IC outlet pipe to OEM LICP ?
I really forgot which one is there now.
I have an AGP turbo IC which I believe has a 3" outlet, but I can only guess that the OEM LICP is 2.5" or 2.75" maybe?
The issue I have:
- The coupler I have there now gets loose sometimes, leaks, and one time it popped loose the hose clamp ( cheapo worm drive clamp ).
I already got a T-bolt hose clamp waiting to replace the one in there.
- The silicone reducer coupler in there is only 3" long and the hose clamps are almost on top of the outlet pipe beads. So I need a longer ( 4" long reducer coupler ). Now I only need to know what's the internal diameter of the coupler that I should get.
Thanks for your time and help!
Cheers,
Mike

Well from what I can find online the AGP intercooler outlet diameter is 3" and all the stock piping on the evo x (minus the compressor housing) is 2.5". If I'm understanding what you're saying you need a longer 3"-2.5" coupler, the one you have being 3" in length.
Holy crap this took me a while to find but this should be what you need-
It's 4" in length.

God damn is it expensive though, $37.00
An alternative to that one would be this 5" long cx racing piece which comes in at a nice $13. If it's too long you can just cut it

Hope this helps you out man!

Thanks.
Yeah I think I will need a 4" long coupler, and I saw one also by Extreme PSI. I just wanted to make sure if I should get the 2.5"-3" or the 2.75"-3" coupler.
So the 2.5"-3" then??
Cheers!
Thanks.

Yes you need a 2.5" - 3". Couplers go by inside diameter not outside.
