Hey guys,

On a short drive the other night, I noticed a little miss while idling. Soon after, I got a CEL. Checked the code with my AP and it was a P0304 'Cylinder 4 misfire'. I had recently done a simple wire tuck (not as simple as the one posted, but close) and I thought I might have not completely plugged in the injector plug.

Anyhoo, I went under the hood, checked the injector plug and it was good. Next step was spark plugs. Cylinder 4's looked just fine, lil toasty but it has 18k on it. Pulled cylinder 3 plug and the ceramic insulator was broken. A classic problem I know, but wtf? Code for cyl 4 and bad plug in 3? I thought I was gonna have a week of headaches.

I just replaced all the plugs tonight and she runs like a dream. Reset the ECU codes and drove for about 20 min. Idles just fine and is back to normal with no CEL.

Any of you guys have any insight as to what was going on? Is the computer ever wrong in determining which cylinder is misfiring?
