Solid and Sprung Clutches

I just want to know what the difference is between them and which one YOU would go with if you were just driving your evo x gsr daily and RARELY race it. Thanks!

Sprung disc will have a smoother engagement and be easier to drive then a solid disc. the SD will give a more Positive ( read - grabby) engagement. I would go sprung hub...then again, thats just me. GL

Don't mention street racing, they dont like it on this forum..

as a trans builder i would never eliminate spring center clutch. they are there to absorb crank harmonics so those vibrations dont reach the rest of drivetrain. I have seen the ill effects on input shafts as a solid disc works its toll on input splines. I also cant stand the extra noise in the driveshaft when those springs are eliminated. drag cars can do without, street cars need it.
