First upgrade on an MR?
Just installed an injen intake/ intercooler pipe setup, and im installing mudflaps today.
The injen intake sounds so much better than the stock pos.
I plan on doing boost/wideband guages next, probably going to call STM on friday for that.
Will a tune from STM void my warranty? i think i already know the answer but might as well ask.

Interestingly enough, a lot of vendors actually offer Stage I and Stage II upgrades to the EVO and they coincide with the factory warranty.
I just know a few dealers who are actively involved down in Texas. Can't speak to anywhere else.
A look back to first mods:
The first thing I did was upgrade to SS Brake lines, Girodisc Rotors, Nitto Tires
Then went straight to a Cobb Stage 1 and Cobb Stage II. Covered my bases and I didn't do the mix and match scenario like a lot of others.

There are vendor packages that coincide with the factory warranty? Care to link some? None of the major packages, i.e. Cobb, AMS, ETS, work with a factory warranty. I'd be curious to see some that Mitsubishi endorses.

Actually Cobb does.
Don Herring Mitsubishi I know for a fact does.
Cobb's performance packages are not endorsed by Mitsu.
If Don Herring sells and uses their parts, that is an example of a mod-friendly dealership doing their own thing. I could slap on the Cobb "stage 2" package and go in to my dealership with a warranty claim, they would take one look at my tuned ECU and the local Mitsubishi rep would likely not honor the factory warranty.
Please don't tell people that Cobb's packages coincide with a factory warranty.

If Don Herring allows its customers to have Cobb Stages I and II and use their warranty on their vehicle then thats exactly what that means.
So yes I will say that Cobb's packages coincide with a factory warranty with that dealer. Understand what is being said. As I stated before I am not sure what other dealers do.
The Mitsubishi dealer in Gaithersburg, MD sells AMS parts in its parts department - does that mean putting those parts on they support the factory warranty, I haven't the slightest.
