Hit a deer. Service AWD system light on???

Smoked a deer with my 2010 X SE. Just got it up and running again and the service awd system light is on. I checked under the car for broken wires and I see none. I should probably say that the deer did go under the car and so did he bumper.

I drove the car about a mile or so to see if it would go off. There is no front end on the car at the moment. Trying to figure out why this light is on? Don't really know if the deer or the bumper got under a tire or not.

Any thoughts? Is this going to go off with more driving?

What do you mean by up and running again? It might go off with more driving (turning the car on/off).

Come on, I looked through a bunch of posts and got nothing.

I checked brake fluid and acd fluid and both are fine. I drove the car for almost 20 miles today and it is still on. I turned car off and on 3 times and it is still there.

Is there a way to reset that or pull a code without going to the dealer???

HELP!!!!

Have you checked the ACD pump?

Deer ran out in front of me, hit it and it went under the car.

I checked the fluid level in the pump and it is fine. There is absolutely no damage to anything under the car. I don't know why the acd pump would go bad from hitting a deer. Is there a way to test it?

Nope. No tool to do it.

Can you manually hook power to the pump and bleed it?

Not sure if it is the same for the X relative to previous gens but you don't need a special tool. Its quite simple actually, put the key in the 2nd ignition, hold the gas pedal on the floor and crack open the bleeder valve on the transfer case.

Did you have to replace any lines going to the ACD or were they all untouched? Assuming they werent touched then air in the system is unlikely but if one was replaced then your issue could certainly be from air in the lines.

Oh and check you PM I sent you a message

X's are different. The gas pedal trick does not work.

Thank you to the people that tried to help.

Thanks to all the people that did not try to help, appreciate it. I figure it out.
