I've been searching for a rattle from my new TurboXS turbo back and can't seem to pin point it. I thought it was my trunk heat shield since the new muffler is huge and leaves no clearance so I removed it to see if it was the cause, but that rattle still persists. The rattle is only there on low rpm decel and accel when the exhaust really rumbles/vibrates and also when I take a low speed turn either left or right. I'm going to put it on a lift later today but wanted any advice as to where to look first. Much thanks

 

check downpipe heat shield. def seems to b2 a heat shield somewhere. it could be partially rusted and looks fine.

Turns out it is just the massive muffler that comes from Turbo XS. It's a great muffler don't get me wrong but on my car it leaves no clearance between the muffler and bottom of trunk which doesn't cause a constant rattle, but does cause a rattle under load when the exhaust vibrates extremely well. So either i need to bend the hangers for more clearance or get a different cat-back with more room.

 

I had to do something simalar to my perrin exhaust to make it even. Just use a deadblow hammer on the hangers to bend them down a little bit more.
