Grimmspeed 3 port question
Grimmspeed 3 port question
I'm thinking about added this to my car. 2014 rr with 12000kms completely stock.
I was my question if I were to get this do I need a tune ? And is this a mod that shouldn't be done alone or should it be paired with another mod to get the most of it ?
Thanks

You absolutely need a tune. If you plug in the Grimmspeed without the correct adjustments in the ECU, it will not pass pressure to the wastegate and it won't open, creating a huge overboost situation.
I did the 3-port with an AFe dry flow panel and put down 288tq/292hp on DBRD's Mustang Dyno with just a tune.
For pump gas, a FMIC and a high-flow cat are probably good investments if you want more HP than that.
Beyond those, you're basically adding supporting mods for a later turbo upgrade, and will see smaller gains with each mod until then. (most other mods are not needed at what the stock turbo can flow.) E85 is another story altogether though....
