In a pickle here. I have a X 2014, Goal is 450 whp e85/91 gas, i know i can reach that goal with both turbos. Which is best for engine and worth the money difference? Going ef4 with it hitting full boost at 4400-4800rpm really matter? If so then ef3 would be the best option. Im a noob with evos so i wanna get it right the first time.

I can get a ef4 for 1300$
Or i can get a ef3 for 1100 $

EF4 :
5Kmiles, upgraded turbo smart 25psi, not ported, anti surge, not coated

EF3:
2500 miles, ceramic coat anti surge, upgraded oil line, ported

EF3 should flow enough to make your HP goals with an appropriate tune with E85. I'd go that way for faster spool and better streetability. If you're doing pump gas, it'll be easier to hit it with the EF4....

 

I wont have to worry about too much boost for the engine with ef3? I read ef4 was better for safer boost and high hp levels
