I have a 2014 evo x, bought it brand new. Id probably say I've launched it a good 50+ times with no clutch issues yet... Who thinks Im on borrowed time?

50+ launches on the stock clutch? Im surprised you got past 5 haha. I definitely think you're on borrowed time or someone on the assembly line decided to swap in a Exedy twin disk for funsies

Whats your future goals? Are you just launching for good times, or are you working on performance mods too? If you want to keep doing what you're doing, don't swap out for another OE or similar clutch. Mine is a daily and i dont launch it but I have some mods so I stuck with an Exedy Stage 1 to retain drivability and not worry about my CMC. You definitely want more than that

Are you launching competitively, or for fun? Thats definitely on borrowed time, and a $2000 repair isn't something I'd wanna do for fun lol

Following this thread. I am currently in similar situation that my car is a DD with some mods/tune and my clutch is starting to slip bad over past few weeks. My driving it a mix of street/highway but more of a street/stop and go traffic so I'm not sure if I should go with a sprung disk or puck which was recommended to me. Is there a big difference in driving a sprung disc to a puck clutch?

What is everyone's thoughts on the Competition Clutch Series 2600 Stage 3 Street/Strip (Spring Disc) or Competition Clutch Series 0620 Stage 4 (Puck)?

I have the CC Stage 3 with a lightweight flywheel and its great. If it's your daily, go with sprung, the unsprung clutches have a pretty harsh engagement.
