Swapping out to an MHI 18K, worth it for a DP?

I decided on getting the AMS DP and an ETS HFC.

They really should not have denied warranty with basic bolt on mods. The other low cost option is to just pickup a used turbo in good condition and install that, they can often be had for $300. As for the MHI upgrade it's a nice turbo that will hold good boost 26-28 psi to redline depending on elevation versus 18-20 psi on the stock turbo. It does trade a bit of low end torque but beyond 4500 rpm it's definitely more power.
