Registered for an account here hoping y’all could help me with my 08 EVO MR.
Today I was sitting at the coffee stand, put it into park while waiting for the said coffee and when I tried to leave.... it would not go into another gear. I tried turning the car off and back on and still wouldn’t get out of park. After sitting there for 10 minutes.... I turned it to the on position... let it sit for a minute and then turned it over and it finally let me change to drive. Anyone know what this might be? Maybe an electrical thing getting faulty? It is just weird that I never turned the car off and after putting it into park it wouldn’t go to drive.

How many miles the auto transmission?

The guy who had it before me had the automatic tranny replaced under warranty. This was done on July 13th 2018. I have the paperwork but I don’t see on here the mileage ?

 

Well, with these electronic auto trans there is so much involved in the way of software & maybe it was just a glitch that a re-boot solved

Time will tell? Keep us posted on how the next day or two go
