AMS 3.5 vs DEPO 4.0
AMS 3.5 vs DEPO 4.0
Hey, I had a question regarding the AMS 3.5 and the DEPO 4.0. Ive ran the DEPO 4.0 IC on my car for about 4 years now, through an FP Black and now a 6266. Stock block car. Car went 11s on pump gas trapping 124mph (gear limited) on the DEPO with no issues, even on the hotter summer days.
Recently I picked up another Evo X as a winter beater which is a stock turbo car but its got an AMS 3.5. My question is, should I leave the DEPO on my good car (if it aint broken dont fix it) or will I see benefits switching to the thinner AMS core with a 6266? Im gonna aim to break into the 10s next year on the stock block, but thats it for the car. I dont plan to pursue more power once I hit that target. Im imagining the core quality on the AMS to be better... but good enough to benefit from a smaller 3.5 core versus the 4?
