Shorai for battery replacement?
Hey guys. Panasonic has died after a long life of 4 years. Looking to upgrade to a lightweight battery. I'm considering a Shorai LFX27L3-BS12 or LFX36L3-BS12. Car is in Alabama , DD, and has Rockford system. Thoughts? Or is the weight savings not worth it and should go with stock one? Also, where can I get something like a terminal adapter, since technically it's a motorcycle battery and all. Thanks in advance!

Have rocked a Shorai for almost two years now and no issues. Used the AMS install kit. Big weight savings and more cranking power depending on which one you go with. Never had an issue with needing jumped.

Bump for an update on Shorai lithium batteries.
My Deka ETX20L is starting to die on me after 2 years of DD use. It will hold charge for about 24 hours, if I leave my car for longer it needs a jump. I was about to just order another one but am now considering alternatives. I am looking at the following Shorai model, it has similar CCA as the Deka battery. LFX24A3-BS12 Weight:3.97 lbs 1.80 kg Cold Cranking Amps:360 Any insight or experience with these batteries is appreciated. |
