Pricing

I havent seen anyone post Japanese pricing.....

I know its not exactly relative, but I figured out some numbers based on Japanese YEN

For our GSR 5 speed, it will be 34,515 with leather, i cant read Japanese so I can't differentiate with out without certain options

The "MR" edition, as I believe it to be with the SST will come in at 36,800 and change.

If this is a repost, delete me please.

With the dollar being worthless, this is a good deal. With yesterdays dollars, the price on the evo was reduced by 20%

I don't know what you were expecting, but those prices seem about right. A 335i will cost you well over $40,000 and I fully expect a well optioned 135i to be in the upper $30,000.

Of course, considering the brands, it's entirely likely that a base 135i will be optioned out better than the X at comparable prices. If you're not set on the SST, and BMW is in the ballpark of the rumored pricing, the 135i is going to be a major competitor.

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Evo X/STI/135i comparison once they're all released.

Yeah true except the rear of a 135i looks like a 3rd grader drew it on.

Well, just to let down the pricing worries, Evo X was in the new car and driver magazine (I think that was the magazine I read, go to CVS you'll find it) and the pricing is between $30k-$35k, so that's where it's at now, however, even Car and Driver said that if you are an enthusiast for the IX and below to turn back and stay with what you got.

This is a better pic of what the evo rear looks like and I think its great and this is an example of what the 135i rear looks like, an after though.

I guess it's like an asian girl, she's eighter really hot or really ugly. No in between when it comes to liking the X rear you, love it or hate it.

I totally don't like the way 135i looks. WOuld rather spend little more and get 335i. Maybe heavier, but much better looker.

And that's where we can agree to disagree. Some people need 4 doors if they want a 2 door fast car they should get a corvette.

There's still a huge difference between having two doors, and being a two seater. Some people like the two door configuration, but occasionally need to fit more than 2 people in the car.

A two-seater is a car you sit in the garage and take out when it's nice. For most people it's impractical to drive regularly. A coupe can be daily-driven, fitting extra people and things when necessary. If you regularly haul around more than yourself and a buddy/girlfriend/wife/whatever, a sedan's a good choice. I can see reasonable arguments for having fast configurations of all of the above.

Not much heavier, C&D say only 100lbs seperates them believe it or not!

"Fitted into this 3450-pound 135i—yes, the 1-series is only about 100 pounds lighter than an equivalent 3-series"
