There's no difference with the X. In fact the base 08 Lancer chasis is already much stronger and stiffer than the Evo 8,9 chasis so Mitsu didn't need to add "like fackin 2000 welds" to the X. Then on top of that the X gets additional stronger bits and more aluminum panels and suspension pieces. The drivetrain is completely different, it has wider fenders. So I dont' see what your point is. The pronounced differences between the Lancer/Evo 8,9 and the Lancer/Evo X is pretty much the same. The only one thing I can concede is that the exterior differences between the 08 Lancer and X isn't as big as the previous generations.

 

i think the biggest "differences" is that the evo 7-9 had different head and tail lights compared to a regular lancer, while all the other generations share the regular lancers lights

Your right about personal opinion and preference, but the problem is that you haters have this annoying tendency to pass off your personal opinions as if they are fact. I could just as easily come up with a paragraph that disses the styling of that VIII you drive, but that really wouldn't have a place in this thread.

Also I believe HKS already has an exhaust for the X, and I wouldn't be surprised if more parts become available over seas. Will it be as mod friendly as a EVO I to EVO IX, I don't know, car just barely came out and hasn't even been released in the stated yet, so unlike I am not too quick to jump to assumptions when in reality you and I don't know how mod friendly the car will be.

 

Ok they say styling is in the eye of the beholder, so I guess that is why Red Demon sees and I qoute "some grinnin bastards big front teeth" in the EVO X-



but fails to see it in EVO VIII-



Maybe it is just me but looks like the EVO VIII styling looks more like "some grinnin bastards big front teeth" than the EVO X.

The new evo X is def gonna be an eye candy. Just paint those nasty looking chrome headlights black, drop it a little and you're set.

Yeah I remember back in '04 I was drag racing my VIII against an OZ Rally and one of the people watching asked us why mine was so much faster when it looks like the same car...so in summation, real car people will know, others won't...no different here...to most it might seem like a different trim level maybe...but probably can't put their finger on why...

wow thats weird, when did you spot this one? I was on the 91 east today going towards riverside and i spotted a grey one. Didnt get any pictures though!
