X Pricing: GSR - $30k, MR $36k
Pretty much SST is DSG. It is a fancy name for DSG.
Much like the stability control system we have today, everyone car manufacture has a different name for it, but they all serve the same purpose.
I am not sure about if this is true or not, I am just taking a guess as to why SST is being delayed.

Correct. And why would they go ahead and release the Jap spec EvoX's with the SST then turn arround and replace the SST with a diff transmission for a much later launch date? Answer: they wont. The SST equiped Evo X's are already made and all the Evo X's currently produced are being stored until January for the release date. (aprox last week of January) Pricing will be slightly more that the older Evo MSRP's. The X's are based off the normal lancer platform but is a MUCH stronger chasis. They didnt just take the body of a reg lancer and threw the AWD and other components to it.
new models always cost more then the outgoing ones, no question, aside for the couple of reasons i listed, cost of steel, aluminum, all the electronics, and other things it doesnt share with other models, and by the way yen is no longer tied to USD, its the EURO.
Anyhow, i say extra 2 grand over the IX will get you the base X GSR, then about 1500 for the SSS package or whatever its called

And Euro is not tied up to US Dollar, never has and I don't think it ever will be knowing European monetary/business policies.
Anyway, I believe base GSR will cost about the same as IX. Maybe a $500-$1000 price difference.
30k and 36k would be a really nice move since the STI starts at 35.6k and the BBS packge at 37.6k

Hope it will be less than the STI, it has to be less than the STI for good sales in here

no arguments all opinions are valid, but equation is simple, aside for all other factors i states, you get more = you pay more and with X you get a lot more technology and options, thats all
let me rephrase, i am saying that yen is now more tied to euro and not to the USD. i hope that make sense. Reason simple, USD has become very unstable and WEAK.

Well, we all will have to wait till Mitsubishi will announce pricing but I don't expect a major price increase. As far as Evo X not sharing all of it's components with other cars is the reason why Evo X is Evo X and it will cost upwards of $30K and not $20K.

Mitsu needs to keep their prices reasonable e.g., <$35k imho because if they start to go higher than that they will be getting into BMW 135i/335i territory and pricing themselves out of the market. If an MR prices out above $35k then I can imagine a lot more people will also consider a 335i, base price $40k, and spend a few thousand more to get a great car with an awesome interior. Not to mention the 135i price of $35k.
The STI being priced what it is will allow Mitsubishi to come in right under that target. They won't undercut it significantly. That's the advantage of waiting for your competitors to announce pricing first. I'd expect the base GSR to be slightly less than and the GSR+SSS to be slightly more expensive than the base STI. This would allow the Evo to both appear cheaper, yet be more expensive in the most popular configuration, than the STI.
"STI-$35,640
STI BBS Package-$37,640
STI BBS/Navigation Package-$39,440"
HOLY EXPENSIVE DOGSH*T!!! 40 large for a car that looks as if it should cost half that!? You gotta be kidding me!

I'd love it if the X GSR were $30k. The realist in me doubts it; however, I'll be elated if the X GSR with SSS package is $33k or less. Then an MR for $37-38k seems reasonable and the top of the line Evo would be as expensive as the new STI with BBS.
As the saying goes... only time will tell, though.
