No 100k powertrain warranty for evo x ?

Bumper to bumper 3yr/36,000k powertrain 5yr/60,000k. Why did mitsu cut back on the warranty ?

Lancer Evolution Warranty

Lancer Evolution is covered by a bumper-to-bumper, New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 36 months or 36,000 miles (whichever comes first). The restraints system and the highly technical powertrain are covered by a 5-year or 60,000 miles Powertrain Limited Warranty, an Anti-Corrosion Perforation Limited Warranty for 7-years or 100,000 miles and a generous 5-year, unlimited miles timeframe for roadside assistance. All warranties are transferable to subsequent owners; coverage time begins on the original in-service date (does not start over with resale.)

That is kind of weird...they've been touting their 100k warranty like it's the greatest thing since the internal combustion engine.

makes me a sad panda sometimes.

That is weak.. kinda shows you how long, on average, its going to last before they have to start doing warranty work on it.

They must not have a lot of faith in the engine and tranny to want to cut back the warranty.

They need to back all there cars up 100%... none of this excluding B.S.

Oh, it's high performance and.. yada, yada,yada..

OK well since it is high performance then make the parts strong enough to withstand 100,000mi.

you got 100k mile warranty when the car maker have hard time.
as soon as they see the light end of the tunnel, the great warranty is gone.

I think that warranty is for the evo x only look at the warranty for the 2008 Outlander

Warranty
At Mitsubishi, we are so confident in the quality, reliability and durability of the cars we build that we are backing all of our passenger and sport-utility vehicles with our very extensive warranties. This list is headed by a 10-year/100,000-mile Powertrain Limited Warranty*; a
5-year/60,000-mile, Bumper-to-Bumper New Vehicle Limited Warranty; a 7-year/100,000-mile Anti-Corrosion/Perforation Limited Warranty and 5-year/Unlimited-miles Roadside Assistance. So now, when you drive off in your new Mitsubishi, you'll leave with even more peace of mind, knowing you can enjoy it to the fullest for many years to come.

*The 10-year/100,000 mile Powertrain Limited Warranty applies only to the original owner of new, retailed 2008 models. Subsequent owners receive the balance of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty of 5 years/60,000 miles. See Retailer for limited warranty terms and conditions.

Its kind of lame, but anti-corrosion is still 7yr/100k mi. I'm guessing this has something to do with awesome people like my old friend who torched his clutch launching and powershifting after 6k miles and had it replaced under warranty. Sometimes theres a reason mitsu is a pain in the ***
