Neither is better or worse than the other. They are each other's compliments.

It's all evolution.

 

Its going to be a tough choice deciding between the two models...im dying to see how the X takes to mods...

 

I like the IX's looks better in general... the rear on the X is horrible IMO

I also need to drive it just to see if it feels like it weights. It is hard to reconcile its size with its weight - equivalent to a BMW 5 series. With great handling and a 13.x:1 steering ratio though, that might not be a showstopper.

 

+1 on that, still lovin the IX more though

 

those photos make the evoX look like the R34 skyline(from the front).........kinda.

anyhow, in my book the X wins over the IX. i love the contrasting nose on the X. kinda makes it look like its wearing a menacing mask. doesnt show up well on a phantom black but on the white one, it looks so effin beastly

IMO the VIII-IX were never the last word in good design (looking more straight-line architectural then car-design curvy). At least the X moves the game on aesthetically, blending elements of both.
If you've seen the X in person you'll know what I mean. Pics really don't do it justice.
