Ya right. Comparing it to the X prices, it will be just under 30.

Yeah, you guys can spend 39k elsewhere. Check out the Acura TL Type S. And at that price, they'll throw in navigation, front wheel drive and 17 inch wheels

No 300hp AWD car in 2008 can be had for less than 34-35k, or close to 40k fully loaded. The new G35X is 34,800 base before options. 40-41k loaded.

You price haters are livin' in the past and don't want to face reality.

My friend, the Germans are getting ready to assault the tuner-import scene with it's 135i and 135xi.

Twin turbo AWD 135xi with PROVEN tune ability to the point of a 2JZ. Especially when rumors speculate it to have a drive train that compares with the last gen M3. It'll be around 40k FULLY LOADED.

A 135i FULLY LOADED will run about 36k.

Hey, I'll take a 135i over a X any day.

I have a quote in my inbox for an 08 STI for $32.7K.

And they've already started arriving at the dealers...

Wrong, a base 135i will already be close to 36K. For 39K though I'd rather have a 135i with some options instead of a MR. Talk about overpriced.

And there is no AWD 135 on the way. So RWD with no diff for you.

BMW already released the pricing of 135i and it's $36K for a BASE version, if you want leather, good sound system, navigation, you better get ready to add $7-10K more as BMW makes it's living on overpriced options, also 135i can't compete with Evo X when it comes to handling, first of, Evo X actually has an AWD system, second of, it has one of the most advanced AWD systems ever thrown in a production car. Third of all, BMW 135i weights almost as much as a 335i (which itself weights as much as Evo X MR and it doesn't even have AWD system as 335xi is even more expensive and weights over 200lbs more than 335i) and is only $3K cheaper, if I were to buy a BMW it definately wouldn't be 135i.

I know it hurts a bit that the new Evo is more expensive than the last generation but in all reality it's a more refined and more mature car with more advanced technology, stiffer chassis, better safety equipment, more luxurious, and you can't ignore the fact that there is this thing called inflation and the value of US dollar these days isn't helping much either.

No kidding, BMW actually charges like 600-1000 for metallic paint.
