Battle of STI vs Evo (Carview, in Japanese)
The new evo looks like garbage the only thing that would save that car would be if the rs and mr take huge to mods. Other wise consider yourself lucky to own the last real evo wether its and 8 or 9.
I also dont understand how people with Evo VII-IX and previous generation Subies can criticize the new Evo and STI when it comes to aesthetics
Just living in denial I guess...
Oh I'm sorry did you say EVO VI? Oh what's that...? Oh you said VIII & IX are last true evos... *Let's out a huge laugh*
Since these are the last models from they chassie?
Because then we really can laugh loud.
Because pretty much every EVO after that got either heavier, slower, or just plain simply in the EVO IX's case for the US watered down.
The evos have kinda been sucking as time went on, I think. I think the best ones are the III, VI, and IX (last of their bodystyles). They just got too heavy
As usual, I'll say I'll shop maybe for an Evo XII when it's out.

There's no dispute that the EVO VI is the last true evo and one of the best evo's made but take a look at every great super car. Over time they are becoming slower and more expensive then the older supercars due to the fact that manufactures are focusing more on power and mainly eco traits. As for the US models... were just robbed and get the back wash
and I long for the day we are able to get the true car its ment to be not a mini knock off with half the power.

VI is the last true evo. If you can't process that through your head then you seriously are a moron.
allright. lets take away every gain what the IX have over the VI. simply go for weight.
JDM VS JDM.
"Sixth generation

Wheelbase 2510 mm (98.8 in)
Length 4350 mm (171.3 in)
Width 1770 mm (69.7 in)
Height 1405 mm (55.3 in)–1415 mm (55.7 in)
Curb weight 1250 kg (2756 lb)–1360 kg (2998 lb) "
"Ninth generation
Production March 2005–2007
Platform CT9A
Wheelbase 2625 mm (103.3 in)
Length 4490 mm (176.8 in)
Width 1770 mm (69.7 in)
Height 1450 mm (57.1 in)
Curb weight 1310 kg (2888 lb)–1400 kg (3086 lb)"
SO the VI was 132-88 lbs lighter....Then the not true evo IX....
but from there the not true evo IX will win every segment hands down. Drive train- engine- trubo - comfort- etc.
So because they made one special modell for celabrating Tommi, doesn't makes the whole line up the greatest.
If the Mitshu would redone it with the IX RS, it would blow away the TME.
The FQ version don't count since its not out from factory. Although in UK. they had another version from the VI RS besides the TME called the RS Sprint with 330 hp and lighter then the factory RS. Matter a fact, that version is faster then the TME...
I know its a big mystery about the TME and the VI over here . So sorry, if i blow some bubbles here.
I like the VI alot . For me so far the best evos are the 3-6-9. But saying the last true evo is a VI its just unfair and somebody who used both needs to speak up. Althought i never had a TME. But we talking about general VI not special edition.
If the best Evo ever made by ralliart or Mitshu ... i would still pick the TME and then the IX FQ360. Why ? Because the TME is build by the factory that's all.But in general the IX is a better evo then the VI
and for example :http://www.easier.com/view/News/Moto...le-150745.html And you can be sure in UK. lots of VI running in the Ralli...
or this site will give you better look into a ralli.
http://mmcr.vysledky-rally.cz/rallys...absolut_jr.php
but in most rally races the IX ralli evos out run the VI's. Period. Even my friend change hes VI to IX for this year... But you guys can dig into it too. And you will find ,most cases the IX will be in the higher finish then the VI.

For the guys that live in the US, a discussion about the VI would be more relevant if we actually got the car here. Best we can do is compare the VIII and IX to the X. It's all we've got.
