Has anyone found anything about a launch control? i saw mention of it but no information.
I am hoping it's like the DSG. If not i hope it has enough power to break stand unlike the current 08 lancer

SUPPOSEDLY...from what I've read...and for which i have no reference...you put the tc-sst in super sport mode, and turn the asc off to some degree. then, while holding down the brake, floor the gas. then, release the brake and you should be on your way in a hurry. sounds like a great way to get on the freeway when stopped at an annoying traffic metering light placed on a short on-ramp...assuming you don't run up the back end of the car in front of you if present...
There is a secret mode without the brake launch, involves fiddling with ASC or something I forget. This gets ~13.6 in the 1/4.

Given the tendency of OEM clutches to fry (and for the transfer cases to shatter after the OEM clutch is replaced) on heavy launches on VHT surfaces I am fairly wary about the ability of SST to take drag strip launches. If the car is going to be launched regularly it might be better to go with the 5 speed which is a known beast.
But I will happily wait and see.

The SST X launches way slower than a Regular 5spd X.. hence why its slower than the X at the 1/4 mile.. all though there are some reviews where the X SST is faster than the X 5speed.. but that's all due to them not launching the X 5spd..
The launch control works fine on the GT-R with a DSG tranny but it could be more beafy than the evo x's... At least theres hope if it is strong enough, changing the TCU may enable a launch control that rivals that of a manual.

. I tried this on a loaner c230, while it worked, i smelled something burning afterwards. We'll see...
