What a lame comment Mitsu's sales continue to rally strong with new designs of the Lancer, Outlander, and Eclipse. The Lancer Evolution will sell in my opinion.

You must have missed their December sales numbers, which were down 40% from last year, by far the worst in the industry.

saw 4 of em at stevens creek mitsu here in san jose, ca (2 red, 1 blue, 1 white in the showroom)

all 4 had SSS and from what i saw they were not marked up. sat in the white one in the showroom, the clutch is lighter than i thought it would be, lighter than my current car. seats feel really good. trunk space is really small.

the salesdude who "helped" me didnt really know much, he said it was "a 2.2 liter turbo" but i didnt really feel like busting him out....i also asked him if an ipod adapter or an aux input was avail, and he said he didnt know. i also asked him when they got them in, and he looked at me all confused. i asked him if they have sold many of them, and he looked at me confused. lol

he also asked which one i was interested in, i said either a white gsr or a RA when they are avail. he then says "i dont think we have ralliarts anymore" then i told him the newly announced one. he looked at me confused.

haha, either way i dont think i would buy from that dealer if they dont even know their product, understand simple questions, or know what new products are coming down the pipeline

BTW there was a black 9 MR in the used lot

YOU are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay lucky compared to me. Graying in my SST will cost around $94,000 USD. Buying it through the dealer would've cost more than $110,000 USD.

I don't know where you live, but I live in Singapore.

Luck is a relative thing.

Also remember that we have moved to the new fuel economy standards this year. So its probably about the same mpg as the old Evos.

That price includes $6000 worth of add-ons.

I went down to the dealer today to take a peek, I looked at what they had on order and of course every single one they had ordered for their initial order had everything (except for one white MR without the NAV package). You should be able to get a base model for 32,000 once the hype dies down.

I asked about the black MR they had on order, he said probably around 42 ish with everything.

So then I looked at the BMW site just to compare to the 1 series everyone is talking about. Since I am looking at the X because I want a cushier DD, I may go drive a BMW first because they are cheaper...

<LOL> Mitsubishi it sounds like you just signed on the dotted line of your death wish.

I thought the goal was to sell more cars, not price yourself out of the market. Costing more than the STI by 3k is pitiful.

Ok well I have always been a huge EVO fan, but my girlfriend and I went to the local Mitsu dealership the other day to see this "beast" (thats what the salesman kept calling it, he was very annoying by the way) and I have to say the looks of it did not impress me at all. I think a big reason why I love the previous EVO's is because just sitting next to the curb they looked like they could kick you ***! I can admit I'm a EVO lover trapped in a 350z owners body! But the EVO X has not grown on me yet.

is that really rally red? I thought it was brighter? looks like a dull color.

also did the fuel economy go down as well compared to the evo 8 and 9?

Fuel mileage has been recalibrated for 2008. How they determine the mileage is much more realistic. This is the reason for the lower numbers. Look at the 2007 toyota corrolla, 40 miles to the gallon and now down to about 33. SAME CAR, just rated different.
