Evo X training videos, Look

- Patrick
I didnt know there was so much interest in these. I posted them to share with some techs from overseas so that we can compare and contrast ideas and after that I set them to private.
Glad everyone enjoyed them so I'll make them public again.

There is a 3rd video but I decided not upload it since my discussion with my overseas friends was regarding the powerplant and drivetrain only and the last video talks about brakes, suspension, the new light and windshield wiper sensors, etc.
My 2 cents worth
VW have released the first dual - clutch gearbox with dry , instead of wet clutches , This means the clutches run freely in air instead of struggling in an oil bath like the TC SST and i believe its far better for long term reliability as well as for power and fuel economy.
I for one will not be going with the TC SST after seeing the video and reading reports of overheating , and short shifting of transmissions in the middle of winter in Japan as Journalists were testing the cars
Sorry but i have no intentions of being a test pilot for a transmission that has lots of shortfalls even before its released .
Cheers
Michael

I found that interesting as well. However, the vendors (AMS, AGP, etc) mentioned that the turbo is running out of air earlier than expected. The O2 housing on the X looks massive! I wonder if the flow characteristics makes it more efficient but seems like it would still be able to produce more HP. AGP said it makes more HP tuned alone than IX tuned with full exhaust. There is just not enough information yet. HKS put out 385hp with the factory turbo and SST. Sounds like it can handle it but just for how long?
Thanks for the last vid...
Did anyone pick up on the "2-piece 18" brakes" up front and "17" brakes" in the back? I wonder how he gets the 18" rims over those 18" brakes...haha
Now I wonder what kind of other mistakes he made in the videos...

what is seems funny for me, he states even if a sensor failure they can't fix it. Why? It is not hard to change the sensor... By the way if it is really will work like that.. With the famous MNA warranty + mr tranny will be a disaster.
great videos!!!
You gotto love the X!!!

They wont have to worry about it since the MR production has been cancelled.
