Yes! Calm down. The car will launch no more then 36k, Mitsu has themselves said it will not pass that price in a Press Conference.

A fully loaded MR will not pass 40k.

He's horribly uninformed.

An Official Press Conference from Mitsu themselves, okay? Not some dealership who knows nothing, said themselves that the price WOULD NOT go past $37k and that it is expected to be under that.

So my guess based on Official Info is that the price should be $36,995.

They said they wanted it to be about $1000 less than that $37k number. I remember reading that. With options or packages it will easily crest $40K. I personally want a base MR with no options. Will be awhile before those hit our shores. Most of the first few shipments will be heavily optioned I bet. Good thing I won't be in the market for another 12 months.

True.

If your going to wait 12 months, why not consider and Evo XI, no joke, I'm being serious.

It should be vastly improved on these 1st Gen models.

My dealer here in Boise, ID told me the same thing but worse. They keep telling me 40k-45k (most likely the 45k) for the MR. They also don't know what they're talking about, I know more about the damn car than they do. That is sad. That's why I'm getting mine at South Coast. Sam seems like a really nice guy so far.

Exactly si_to_evo. Wasn't there a 2 year gap from VIII-IX & from IX-X, what would be different now?

You think the X is going to flop, and be the end of the Evo? I think in fact the X may turn out to be the most popular Evo yet offered for sale (at least in the US). And since each generation lasts a couple years, we don't have long to wait to see what happens for XI. The engineers are certainly already working out what it's going to be, given the timeline for developing a car. My guess is that it'll be a minor update, much like the VII-VIII-IX seemed to be. That's why it's called an Evolution .
