I agree, plus I think there is something to be said about getting dealer installed options with full warranty over doing it yourself (even though you can often get better quality from after market).

I hope you can do it.

$33,000 base
$2,000 package
$2,000 tax

You're at $37,000 already. If you're that close that $1,000 difference here or there can make or break the deal, then you might want to reconsider. Don't spread yourself too thin. You can always wait a little while.....

^True, which is why I always tell people to bring a down payment. It's the smartest thing you can do.

^Damn good question. IMO, the RA is the smarter choice as your only a Turbo kit away from an Evo.

And you save quite a bit as well. Maybe $4,000+.

Out of the 3, I would recommend the SSS package as well. The Nav and Aero package seem quite pricey. And in my opinion the Aero package looks quite tacky actually, and you can always go aftermarket with those.

Too soon to comment about the 2009 RA, just go with the Evo X if your heart is set on it. We dont even know the pricing or options the RA is going to have!

To me the SSS package seems very overrated. The main thing is the HID's, I can't believe its not an individual option. For audiophiles, the upgraded stereo is worthless.

Question about the spoiler though, is this the upgraded larger spoiler over the low profile one or does the base GSR have no spoiler at all?

Best Package = patience.

If I may suggest waiting until you have both a good down-payment, so you don't potentially miss options your may wish you had done the road, AND waiting until you find a dealer selling at invoice.

Base 08 Evo X (GSR) invoice = $31,093

For what it's worth, I wouldn't get an Evo X with out SSS. The Fast Key is too damn cool. Getting HIDS, a better stereo/sub, sirius radio and a spoiler seem like a reasonable package deal.

Best of luck!

^easier said then done, but yes i agree ... waiting is the best thing to do.

and about the spoiler, depending on what dealer you go to, will help you out. i was at the dealer today and they were willing to swap **** around ... whatever it took to buy the car. but i think you can add whatever spoiler you want? i believe even the base GSR comes with a spoiler

I think the SSS is worth it if you don't plan to spend a bunch of time and money upgrading the stereo. The fastkey and HID's are nice. The Aero Kit is very tacky. $2000 for some cheap plastic stickons????

I'm sure the aftermarket will have some much nicer add ons for less money soon.

Yeah no doubt, but then you have to get them painted and installed ... would it be worth the time to save a few bucks?
