Lets all call our closest dealership and ask them what they know. This will give us an overall picture of what the dealers know.

Most dealerships will have no idea on the arrival date for the MR. Some, like South Coast, already have orders in and may be able to see ETA's in the computer system. But the ETA's could be wrong. And, dealerships on the east coast will not be getting them at the same time as the west coast if the arrival times of the GSR's are any indication. Even MMNA will give you different info if you call them twice in a row and talk to two different people. Unfortunately, I think we will see them when we see them and shouldn't expect them before then.

I've come to find that a drunken hobo on the street corner with no actual knowledge of the vehicle in question can probably give you more accurate information than anyone at a dealership....ever.

In fact, when the vehicle is actually on the lot and for sale.....they may not know it's there, or know anything about it. Be sure to bring the hobo with you.

I've had people at dealerships tell me "I don't think we have any of those (insert car name here) in stock," when I just f'ing walked past three on the way in the door.

When we bought my wifes car....the salesman wasn't even aware that the model we were looking for existed. We were like "Yeah idiot....it's a Scion xD....freakin look it up."

Here in the bay area, I've been told by 8 different Mitsu dealers that April was the release month.

We are still slated to get 5 MR's in April.... The rep told me they were canceled or pushed back and wanted me to change my allocation to take more GSR's.... The only thing is I can't cancel the mr, so if I order a bunch or gsr and then the MR shows up I will have a whole bunch of evo's

Not that that is. Bad thing to me... But its still a $40k car which is still alot and I wouldn't want them sitting around too long

I ben ordered 2 phantom blacks since I knew I may get hosed on the GTR .... Which looks to be the case

And by the way... Not every dealer salesman is a dumbass.... I had an evo for 3 years , a supra a rsx, a spec miata, an eclipse, 2 preludes a tsx etc.... Modded pretty much all of them and you can see I've been on this board since Feb 2003

and next month I become a salesmanager and I'm in charge of evo orders and things so that's going to be cool.... But I agree most salesman dont like cars, its just their job

I on the other hand , am a car nut... And am an evo head and big into customer service and against markups ... Especially since I had a deal on the gtr for msrp and they called me back and changed their minds and want $20k over now which I find deplorable

I'll try and become a vendor and take care of you guys with real info... I'll call the rep again today if he answers... Its presidnts day, he's probably sipping martinis somewhere

As I have mentioned in another thread, I will get you guys some accurate info shortly straight from the source. Just be patient

I can tell you that as of friday, no dealership could have possibly had accurate info on this, just an estimate based on an assumption

So why is it that Mitsu has waited to release the price? Why can't we know now?

I don't see how it would hurt anything....

He's busy. That same drunken hobo is also responsible for updating the website.

Hey, called my local dealership, which I do not trust what so ever. Said it would be 6 months for the MR. They also said that they have the Evo Xs now. Which confused me. It seemed like he didn't know that the MR was a X.
