Opinions on navigation system

For those that have the new Nav. system, what do you think? The only vehicle I have had a Nav. system on was our old G35 coupe. That system had the nice bird's eye view look and the controls were easy to use.

And, does anyone know how the tech. package that comes with the MR will work with an I-pod? Will it be a nice I-pod type view that comes up on the DVD screen and allow you to control the I-pod through touch controls similar to those on the actual I-pod?

Just noticed that people are saying that the ipod cable from Mitsu is just an auxillary plug in cable, which means no controlling the ipod from the head unit.

Just speaking on the Nav unit...I love it so far. I haven't had a built in version yet, just the portables and I have a Sony, Magellan, and Garmin and this Mitsu nav system is so much better.

I just started loading music yesterday so I am not familiar with the ipod usage. I wish it held more than 6 gig.

From what I read on the "Audio" thread, you do have to rip the songs from CD's. The I-pod connection is an auxillary plug in only. It goes to an audio left and right type plug in I believe.

yes, you can only load music from a cd, and it is just aux cables...
but the Nav is great... much better than any other Nav I've used, a million times better than dodge and imo better than the Benz i've seen, and the touch screen functionality is awesome
