it was only a matter of time...... but if they do make a hatch, it will be quicker, lighter, and handle better.... no much, but a little...... not to mention that it will hit another niche in the market..... concidering the sti is hatch only... if they do it to the evo, they will have the hatch and sedan.... much like they did with the IX (the sedan and the wagon)

Whether anyone likes it or not, Mitsu doesn't plan on bringing it to the U.S. market from what I understand.

It honestly doesn't look so bad. In my opinion it looks 10 times better then the Subaru. It's not even suppose to be sold in the US, it's for the European market.

I saw the new STi at a Fairway Subaru in Greenville SC. It was a Red Sti and in all honesty, it doesn't look good at all. If you didn't know what to look for, you'd think it was a regular WRX. I've seen the EVO X and in person it's beautiful. Anyway, that's just my 2 cents.
