evo X RS on slae
stanley mitsubishi is known to be a big stealership in anchorage. they spammed this at an alaskan motorsports site
"Stanley Mitsubishi is getting two of the GSR Evo X's Red & Blue, Due to arrive January 15th. Price is set at $49999 due to demand and rarity of the vehicle, Most Dealers are only getting one allocated to their dealership, but due to the amount of sales of the evo we are getting 4 of the GSR 5 speed models which two are already pre-sold. In February we are due to receive the vary rare sought after Evo MR which will have the new Automatic with paddle shifters on the steering wheel, that models is priced at $59999.
We are taking deposits now, financing is available.

yeah. stupid alaskan dealerships... u wanna talk about markups in the lower 48s... go look at their cars... a truck thats worth 20 G would cost 28 up there.... prolly cause of the shipping but still...(i used to live in alaska)
in japan... the RS came with no ac, lancer interior (i.e no recaros), steel wheels, and im pretty sure, no brembos......... but here in the states, we got the ac, brembos, enkies,
and recaros (thank god!
)
yeah, thats a ploy..... they are only in red or white (they are advertising grey).....

yep you dont need those , if you buy the RS. I would be happy if they would bring the RS here with the JDM options, and they would exclude the price the brembos ,recaros, etc. wich we got with the USDM RS.
lol, i just looked at the link. THAT APPARENT EVO RS, is just a regular Lancer. and also...lol, twin turbo. hilarious. notice if you look at all the stuff that comes with the car, they give u a damn long list of things, going to the very specifics. if they went to the very specifics, i would expect even a mention of a turbo, but no mention. failed ad.
mitsubishi demonstrated that they are sensitive to the reviews of magazines and the demands/ complaints of forum folks, hence the greater priority that NVH got in the X. arguably, that's a good thing.
maybe mitsubishi will demonstrate some sensitivity to the demand for a harder X at some point. it doesn't have to be an all out RS either - a little more focused on performance by excluding options that are unrelated to "performance."
my perfect evo X: HIDs, big wing, 6 speed manual with a clutch (to satisfy my numbers fixation/ give myself the impression that i'm still a man). no nav, no rockford fosgate system. alcantra/ sythetic leather seats, i'll take it in white and pay 34k for it.
just like the improvement in NVH steps up the line-up's overall livability, i think a more focused version adds to the evolution's desirability. and that is also a good thing.
