be fair so everybody will be happy, in straight line, the X just as fast then the IX...
But certainly not faster. Stock vs stock.
Now, it is proven many times the IX will not pull 3.5 car lenght on the 05-06 6.0 L GTO, period. The matter a fact , the new GTO will walk you. Eventually the V8 and gearing will put you down.
Stock vs stock.

Don't nut swing too much on the guy...he hasn't posted a time slip and he's only got 2 posts so far.

Umm...gotta call BS if you raced the GTO with the LS2 motor. Those cars will walk away from a stock IX on the highway. And the stock IX will walk away from the X on the highway. Sorry man, can't believe you on your "kill" of the GTO. That car is too much of a monster on the highway for you to have beat it.
I'm not "nut swinging" at all. No need to be "nut kicking" for the same reason either. I'm only pointing out that they are damned if they do or don't. Assuming he has the slips to prove his times the argument all of a sudden turned into: you're killing your car, its not meant for that, which is ridiculous. He didn't ask how opinions on how the car was meant to be driven. Also No need to assume a guys a liar about his slips just because he has only 2 posts. The times he listed are not unheard of. I look forward to seeing the slips as well, which he already mentioned he will post up. As far as his walking the gto....

I ran a camaro ss hooked up at the tracked once the launch was over he didnt gain at me at all down the track. We pretty much dead even from a roll. And that camaro ss wasnt stock. Think what you want but my boy is the owner of the GTO and he can tell you also.
I have to call bs on that claim that you beat an SS camaro..SORRY That is not happening. Maybe if the driver is not that good. That SS is all torque and power.

Yea, I don't believe he pulled on a gto either. I drove one when my brother was interested in purchasing and WOW, you can do burn outs in second and third gear in those things.

There's a reason for that (05 GTO owner who loves Evos here) - we have very narrow rear tires. 245 tires + 400 ft. lb of torque at 2200 rpm are a bad combination.

However, it's due to that huge amount of torque very early that we kill in rolling starts. No need to wait for a turbo to spool or worry what RPM you are at, just gun it and you get nearly full torque instantly.

There's just no way you walked one from 25-120. That's where GTOs thrive. I might believe it if it was from a stop - Evos can get amazingly better launches but even with our crappy rears we're still doing a 4.6 0-60.

in a straight line the x is NOT faster than an ix. ix can run 13.0. both has about the same whp except the ix weighs much less.

A straight line race on a dragstrip is won in the first 60 feet. That said, my 335i even stock was substantially faster than my Evo X. The Bimmer would lose out of the hole, but it would catch and destroy the X a little before the quarter mile mark. Probably no way it could catch the X by 60.

Quick Reply: do you guys think evo x can beat....?
