this weekend....
this weekend....
well, here where i live, i recently joined a evo club. they had a little meet of sorts so i decided to go out, because it was only 30mins away. one person i meet there had a silver ix that had a full turbo back, exhaust an AEM short ram intake, and they just gave it a tune.
i have never actually ridden in an evo where the driver went full out anywhere, but he let me ride with him to test out his tune. i just loved the way this thing accelerated, he took it to 120. this made me think i should go with a ix rather than a x, because of everyone here saying that it feels nothing like the viii or ix.
the problem though is he only accelerated from a roll and it was always at 4500rpms when he went, so the turbo was always spooled up.
i just don't want to get a x and not have that same feel that i had riding in his car.
i guess maybe after its been out a while is when i should make my decision, or wait till the 2009 comes out to see if they make any changes then?? i cant feel the power of the x because i can only test drive a new one and i would never beat on one.
it would be nice if some owners of evo x's that have owned or own a viii or a ix tell me their opinions on the feel of the power when accelerating.

I personally know that the evo X will be faster that the IX since the power is more linear and im speaking of both with same components or stock. You cant compare a stage with IX to a stock X or vis versa.

Put those mods on an X, and it will be just as fast. I don't know what the problem is.
The only difference then will be handling. Go drive both and pick which one you like best. Simple as that. There is no need to worry about the speed....
