Here is what you need to do: get some tint on the glass, some stiffer springs with a 1" drop, and THEN you'll be ready to begin the serious engine performance mods.

Are the holes in the trunk lid round or oblong? In the VIII they are oblong, which makes plugging the holes a challenge. If the holes are round, there are a lot of choices for small plastic plugs that could easily be painted to match.
There are a total of 6 holes that need to be plugged. 4 of them are round and 2 of them are oblong? I filled all of them with simple plugs from Kragen and painted them white. Looks decent as this was just a quick little Mod that I wanted to try out, since I hadn't seen it before and so many people were curious.

I like the criticism so far, some people like it, some people don't.

thats exactly my thaughts. I bought this car for pure pleasure and fun on the road. Quite frankly that is impossible with a big wing

I found that i am able to push the car even more when its wingless because i feel sleeper and silent SHARK WITH MOUTH CLOSE

Hahaha Thanks. I also enjoy looking in my rear view and not seeing this big white thing blocking my view.

I can forsee the wing coming off my X the first day it arrives. Do the holes go through into the trunk area or are they outside the weather seal?

I am a fan of both, it is going to be hard to decide what to do. I think you need to be dropped to pull off being wingless the best. Some dope wheels prob. wouldn't hurt either.

Love it wingless! Just needs to be lowered with a set of nice rims and a front bumper lip...

Honestly, the X looks a lot better wingless than the 8 or 9 did.
