Looks nice...but for $300 I'll just get a K&N Cone from Pep Boys and build my own shield out of sheet aluminum.

WOW... now it's on sale for $269...

They knew they could rip people off just because there's not much out there yet to choose from.. weak!!! Don't tell me there's a lot of R&D that went into that piece..

Look at this misleading picture they have on there site! The real life fitment sure isn't that well protected/secluded.

Why wouldn't they just make it a full enclosure housing?

Anyways.. does your car sound any different? and sorry about the lesson learned..

I believe the factory intake is a semi-cai/ram air design as it creates a positive air pressure where the OEM filter sits then is "pushed" through to the intake manifold.

No intake on a turbo car goes to the intake manifold. And ram air will have negligible effects as the turbo can only flow so much air anyway.

No my Car does not sound any different below 3K but, above 3K air rushing swoosh is very apparent and it sounds like I have an after market BOV. I will have to reset the ECU to see if there is any difference.

"CAI" or Ram Air intakes are only functional in NA cars in reducing intake temps. Turbos are spinning ~144,000 rpm and make alot of heat. On turbo cars, the intakes (filter/piping) simply allow the car to breath. I think alot of people believe that slapping on a shield with an open element air filter is going to make a big difference in air intake temps on a turbo car. If you want to reduce intake temps, get a more efficient intercooler.

I should have this intake and the suction pipe next week... Unfortunitely I did not read this thread before the purchase. I like the look of the intake and have had nothing but good experiences with Agency... Hopefully this works out and they have corrected the problems you have listed. I will let you know if I have a better experience or not. Also thanks for the ECU reset info, did not know that.

Thanks and wish me luck!!!

Although there may be a few fitment issues I still plan to pick up this kit. Maybe they have fixed the fitment issues. We'll see...

Just installed my AP intake and turbo suction pipe last night! I had no problems and absolutely love the whole set up. My air box/gaurd fit perfectly with the factory rubber spacers and everything fit nice and tight and rests in there perfectly! Not sure if Agency resolved any issues others have had before me but I love mine. The sound is great and my car can breath a little better!

Here's the suction pipe:

And the full set up:

I might replace the K&N with a HKS cap filter but idk for the time being.

Definitely from me.

I know exactly what you mean. I def got a good deal. My buddy in the "business" helped me out for a b-day present haha. I love the whole set up together. I did some other adjusting last night and it looks even better. You will def like it. Had to adjust the BOV a bit as well, I was getting a bit of compressor surge.

I still need to do a DIY on relocating the BOV to the LICP.
